You call out to Dan, who's looking cheerful this morning, and he cracks open a couple of fresh eggs onto the stove top. While he's waiting for the eggs to cook, he asks if you have anything exciting planned for the day. - "No, not really, just work as usual." - "I'm thinking about going into the ice tunnels after work today. Want to come along?" - "Mmm, I've been down there 4 or 5 times already..." - "But have you taken the full tour?" Dan gives you a funny little wink that piques your curiosity. You agree to go to the tunnels with him; after all, there isn't much else to do in the greater metropolitan area of the South Pole. You thank Dan for the eggs, finish them quickly, and leave the galley. As you walk back to your room, you pass cargo Alison in the hallway. |
